What we have been up to this week ;)

We haven't left the house in 2 days. It's been over 100 and it's just too hot for me to breathe. I have done some 'crafting' with our sons! I bought some yarn by number kits from the dollar store. they were ok the boys absolutely loved them. My youngest loves glitter glue so that's what we used ;)

I have sworn for many years there will never
ever be any "Play-Doh" in our house but as hott as it's been and as bored as we have been,
I bought some.
{yeah, you just never know what you will do when you have children}

We haven't touched it yet but it's there in the laundry room laughing at me......I can hear it,
"You lose, I win hahahaha!"
Twisted a little I know but Play-Doh is a pain in the you know whatsa.

Chris went to another car show last weekend and won!
All the proceeds from everything bought and registrations went to
Childrens Miracle Network
What an awesome event to participate in.

We were up late last night due to a heat storm
Thunder, Lightning the works.
The nice thing after me and the chilldren panicking and finally sleeping
EVERYONE SLEPT LATE!

I was able to get up and sew with no interuptions.
I got 3 dresses done!
Yes, that's right
{THREE}

If you have children then you know this a HUGE rarity.

Here is what I made today!

Adding them to inventory tonight.
They are all 6-9mths but will fit 3mths to I'm most certain.

Thanks for stopping in

A bike fit for a Parade

We spent the evening at a Campsite called Indian Acres in Thronburg, Va.  Chris's mom has land and a camper out there and they were doing the fireworks and 4th of July celebration there last night.  We stayed at the camper most of the night.  We walked out to the powerlines and watched an amazing array of fireworks far from the crowd ;)

While we were waiting on the firworks we decorated Christopher Jr's bike for the 4th of July Parade that will take place on the 4th lol.

Here' what you will need:
A Bike ;)
Streamers in Red White & Blue {of course right}
2 Toilet Paper Rolls
Tape
Red Paperclips
Foam Stars
Hot Glue Gun

Stream the streamers through the spokes on the bike and tape ends off

~Take the Toilet paper rolls and 1 strand of all 3 colors
overlay them and wrap them around the roll.

~Glue your foam stars to your paperclips
{we bought ours all ready done from michaels}

~Clip streamers into place on the toilet paper rolls
{see pic, I am terrible at explaining things}

~Slide on handlebars

~Wrap metal frame with streamers and tape off ends

~Glue Foam Stars on 'headlight' reflector & handlebar frame

~Take pics of the finished creation
~Put it away somewhere safe until it's time for the parade ;)

That's it.
Happy 4th of July

Black Widows, Frogs and a new dress ;-)

Caution:
Those that suffer from Arachniphobia please do not read this post as there is a picture of a Black Widow working on his egg sac.

Black Widows LOVE rocks and any dark un-disturbed hiding places.  My mom has a rock bed with a few plants growing in it and it is surrounding by rock edging.  Well, we have seen our fair share of spiders.  Our 'Funnel Web' spiders are pretty cool looking and harmless they build pretty strong webs.  They keep other bugs away such as mosquitos, flies etc....
The Black Widows web is thick like nylon and very different from other webs.  We have one that was working very hard on her egg nest and YES we did destroy it as well as poison her.  I know this sounds harsh but we have 2 small children and cannot risk them being bit by her or her hatchlings.  Personally I have a thing for spiders and love watching them work.
Here is a picture of her working:

This photo was not edited and she and her egg sac really are/were that big.  Please let this be a note to all other Black Widows
"You are NOT welcome here!"

Frogs:
We have ALOT of frogs around the yard and house as well.  Our sons sure do get a kick out of all of them.
They are mostly babies so I have been trying to find the 'nesting' spot so I can show them some tadpoles ;-)

and now......
Drumroll please (boom boom  tap tap ratatat tat :giggle:)

Don't you just LOVE it?????

Thanks for stopping in!

I absolutely love this!  {Ok, so yeah I know, I made it but really}
It will fit 2T-6yrs old.  A dress, a blouse paired with jeans just endless possibilities.
Oh and the headband is so cute on my curly haired son Taylor {Why can't boys wear headbands? LOL}
Stocking it now ;)

Just for Giggles
Why wasn't I blessed with curls like that????

Dad says no more headbands for his boy :(
Oh well, I understand...........

First week home with my family....

~*~Pictures of a family having a super fun week~*~

Had such a great week last week!  Last Saturday was the Father's Day car show.  Sunday was just me and my boys ;) Monday was my Grand Re-Opening so I was quite busy with the computer.  Tuesday I made it up to everyone by going to Kings Dominion!  This was the first amuzement park trip for our sons and a first for Chris and I to have ever gone together.  We really did enjoy ourselves and suprisingly Christopher and Taylor LOVED it!  They rode rides together, {without us} even rode some rides seperately.  They are growing up so quickly I was just amazed at how well they did to such a busy place. {of course we went on a monday when it was supposed to rain so not too busy}.
Christopher even rode the 'big kid' coaster with his dad and even though I don't think he'll do it again for a long time he did enjoy riding with just his father.

~Taylor having fun~

 They went out for a ride by themselves
.....and didn't freak out ;)

 What's cooler than rocketships?

 Christopher Jr got to drive on a real roadway with stop signs and everything!
He LOVED this!

 Yep, he had ALOT of FUN!

 *Those of you with 5yr olds know that they are always ready for MORE!

Friday we decided we need more berries and being that I had never been because I was always working well, we were going ;)  We looked them up before we left to see which fields were open but the only one open that day was the blackberries.

I so wanted more Rasberries and Bluberries so I could make a
Patriotic Lemonade Cake by   Bebe La Mode Design

Fortunately they did have them pre-picked and packaged for you to buy!!!!
So, Chris can make this lovely cake after all.
{Thank you Brittany @  Bebe La Mode Design }
We did pick Blackberries, feed the Goats and play at their playground for a bit.  Sat outside in the grass and enjoyed our peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.  I don't like spending money on food when we can bring our own however I did buy some of the cotton candy they had for us to snack on after lunch ;)

Chris and his beautiful replicas.....I mean um beautiful sons.

Last but not least a cool off @ Lyon Village in Arlington Va.

Oh yeah and a few new dresses ;-)
